The quality of having sensitive insight or understanding; perceptiveness.
FOUNDER & CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Hi, I’m Ruth!
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with 10 years of experience working across the private mental health sector and in public mental health. I’m an accredited Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy therapist (ISTDP; by Leftbank Insitute and the IEDTA). I am also a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (ANZAED). I’ve trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and Enhanced Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E).
As a therapist, I believe every human is resilient, and has the capacity for strength and growth. I take a stance to support clients’ strengths and goals, bringing curiosity, creativity, compassion, warmth and humour to help facilitate our work together. I will be there to support you in healing and growing.
Percipience was born out of a deep desire to connect directly with clients in an authentic and genuine way. I’m passionate about offering a space that is welcoming of all identities, that is trauma-informed, and that is neurodiversity-affirming.
